Autopost is a Chrome extension designed to help users streamline the process of transferring vehicle listing information to Facebook Marketplace, including generating AI-assisted descriptions. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how data is handled.

Information We Collect

Autopost does not collect, store, or sell any personally identifiable information about its users.

• The extension only processes vehicle data from listing pages that the user chooses to transfer.

• No personal details such as names, email addresses, or browsing history are collected or stored.

Authentication

Autopost uses Firebase Authentication to provide secure login and access control.

• Firebase may process limited authentication information (such as email or login token) in accordance with Firebase’s Privacy Policy.

• Autopost does not store or manage your login credentials.

Use of Third-Party Services

Autopost relies on:

• Firebase Authentication – secure login and authentication

• OpenAI API – generating AI-assisted descriptions

• Facebook Marketplace – publishing listings selected by the user

Data Usage

• Autopost processes vehicle data only for creating and submitting Facebook Marketplace listings.

• No data is stored on Autopost servers. Processing occurs locally in the user’s browser and through third-party APIs.

Permissions

Autopost may request the following Chrome permissions:

• Active Tab Access – to scrape vehicle data from listing pages

• Storage (if applicable) – to save user preferences or extension settings

These permissions are used strictly for the extension’s core functions.

Security

Because Autopost does not store personal data on its servers, exposure risk is minimized. Secure authentication is handled by Firebase.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated if new features or services are added. Updates will be posted here with a revised “Last Updated” date.
